27 January 2012 - Philippine Ambassador to Kuwait Shulan O. Primavera met with Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) President Barges Humoud Al Barges on January 26 to discuss the aid that KRCS will provide to the victims of Typhoon "Sendong" (Washi) that struck Southern Philippines last December.

26 January 2012- The Philippine Embassy in Vientiane reported to the Department of Foreign Affairs that Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Lao People's Democratic Republic Maria Lumen B. Isleta presented her credentials to Lao PDR President Choummaly Sayasone at a ceremony held at the Le palais de Ho Kham, the Lao Presidential Palace, last January 11.
